One Nation Under “Place idol here”

If you can believe it, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is at it again.  This time, because they have had a hard time convincing the majority of this country that it is somehow wrong and violates the Constitution, that we say “One Nation Under God”, they have decided that we should tell our children that they can “opt out” of pledging allegiance to their country.

Treason – the offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or the sovereign’s family

Someone… ANYONE! Please tell me how this “kindred spirit of perfidy” is allowed to exist in this country?!?! I for one, will not stand for these “half-baked nitwits” (one of the terms allowable by Congress, that won’t offend anyone) telling my children that they can opt out.

Is it not enough, that we can no longer wish people a Merry Christmas? Is it not enough that we are being forced to take down the Ten Commandments from the halls of Courts that share the values upon which this country was founded?!?! Is it not enough that those of us who say “God Bless You” are looked at with condemnation?!?! I have conformed and stood by while you make less of my Christian faith, but I will be damned, if I do not expect, no, DEMAND that my children pledge allegiance to their country. If you don’t believe that we are one nation under God, that is your right, but don’t propagate your doctrine using the minds of our young, impressionable children.

To the ACLU and any of its advocates: STAY AWAY FROM OUR CHILDREN!!

Hello? Sleeping Giant?… WAKE UP!

This is the problem with America today.  We have gotten so into the following…

You are either on the side that thinks that the previous administration did a terrible job, that we spent 8 years fighting a couple of wars that we did not need to be involved in, that we did nothing for this country, that we had an idiot for a president, that he couldn’t pronounce “nuclear”, that he messed up our economy with all the money spent on war, etc.  The same side that praised the Senator from Illinois because he would be different, because he would bring about hope and change.  Conversely, there are others who argue that the current administration is sending us into a tailspin of profligate spending, that we are going to fall to liberal ways, that we will have a nation of gays being married, of excessive abortions and other agenda items of the leftist platform.

Although these are important concerns and I do not presume to trivialize who marries who and who has who’s baby or not.  These things however, make us lose site of what is really important… that there is a tremendous change that is taking place in this country.

If I am sound conspiratorial it’s because I believe that there is something wrong going on here.  Think about it… all of us have lied at one point in our lives or another.  What is the natural tendency when we are being less than truthful?  To change the conversation or to deflect and focus on anything other than the lie at hand.

We sit around blaming the “other” party in a two-party system, all the while, the “political class” of the same parties, have the last laugh.  Do you know why?  Because it’s all crap!  We need to wake up!!

Just so you know, who can get married, who is racially profiling, who can have abortions, what socio-economic classes are being oppressed and which are prospering, who we are bailing out… none of it matters if we have our unalienable rights taken away from us, gradually but methodically with precision and persistence, this IS happening.

There are a few things that have been taking place for a long time, that support this argument.

Our guns are being taken away – Let us recall that our founding fathers contemplated that this is a fundamental right of the citizenry in order that they may protect themselves from an oppressive government.  This is where the United States of America was born from!  A tyrannical king who sought to rape the colonies of their property and maintain a jurisdiction so as to fatten up his pockets with the fruit of our blood and sweat.

We keep hearing that guns kill people… NO!  PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE.  Does a pencil misspell a word?  These are simply tools used to facilitate the carrying out and action that is the result of intent.  This is why we have laws in varying degrees… to determine intent… murder in the first, second, etc… or manslaughter.

The government has, in times of crisis, abridged our rights to arms under the guise of “the good of society.”  Just ask the people of New Orleans, who had their guns taken from them after Katrina hit.  They were stripped one of their most basic and precious rights… protecting their property.

Recently, some or our “leaders” have stated that 90 percent of the guns used to perpetrate crimes in Mexico come from the United States… really?  Please take a look at this (and believe me all you people on the far left, I have considered the source on this one, but I encourage you to post up an article that can negate or refute this one) http://www.foxnews.com/politics/elections/2009/04/02/myth-percent-guns-mexico-fraction-number-claimed/

An excerpt states the following:

In 2007-2008, according to ATF Special Agent William Newell, Mexico submitted 11,000 guns to the ATF for tracing. Close to 6,000 were successfully traced — and of those, 90 percent — 5,114 to be exact, according to testimony in Congress by William Hoover — were found to have come from the U.S.

But in those same two years, according to the Mexican government, 29,000 guns were recovered at crime scenes.

In other words, 68 percent of the guns that were recovered were never submitted for tracing. And when you weed out the roughly 6,000 guns that could not be traced from the remaining 32 percent, it means 83 percent of the guns found at crime scenes in Mexico could not be traced to the U.S.

Ask yourself this, if you were home and you never cared for guns, but there was an uninvited guest in your home.  You don’t know if he is there to rob you or rape you or kill you or all of the above.  You announce your presence, but there is no answer.  We’ll pretend that you have the power to make a gun appear with a snap of your fingers.  You are holding the gun now, and the perpetrator has reached your bedroom… you face imminent threat, but you don’t know the degree of harm this person is willing to inflict to carry out his purpose… what do you do?  I’ll leave it that because I have a feeling I know the answer.

One other important thing to remember… there are over 300 million people in this great country of ours.  We are told constantly about the dangers of guns.  If one percent of the population committed a crime with a gun, that would be 3 million people.  Let’s break that down to 57,692 gun-related crimes a week, 8,241 a day, 164 in each of the 50 states.  When I lived in New York City, pre-Giuliani, one of the City’s newspapers had, on the inside of the cover, a timeline of the violent crimes committed in the previous 24-hour period.  There were, on average 10 violent crimes committed, with guns AS WELL AS knives, pipes, bats, etc.  Should we take those away too?  Are we to believe that the same can be said about other cities and states like Kansas, Idaho, Minnesota and even New York and California?!?!  The truth is that better than 99 percent of Americans and legal residents of this country are law abiding people who just want to live a good life in the country they love and within the property that they work hard to procure.  Let us be proud that we have the right to protect our property and let us fight to preserve it, lest we fall to those who would have us believe that we are bad simply because we own guns.  Believe me, the government will not give up its right to arms?  Are we even allowed under the Constitution to grant a power to the government, that we ourselves cannot enjoy?

Americans have become lazy and complacent – Now I’m not trying to do a Bill Mahr here… I’m just saying that we have learned to just let the government tell us what we need.  I love this country and because I do, I love Americans.  I don’t mean that we have become lazy as in we don’t want to work and aspire to be great!  I believe in Americans and what we hope and dream for.  What I mean is, at some point we have stopped fighting the urge to question everything we are being told we need.  I think it begins with the indoctrination of our youth.  What are we teaching the kids these days?  Most of the young people I have talked to about this subject have no idea what I am talking about.  They have not been taught about the Founding Fathers and what they sacrificed.  They have not been taught about history and why we succeeded or failed.  Why we had to do what we did.  The importance of studying history and living according to the time tested principles that this country was founded upon.  I am not naive enough to believe that there were not moments in time where we have carried out horrible acts in order to win a war or secede from an oppressive tyrant, but it is war for a reason.  Nevertheless, we should be more accurately imparting to our youth why certain forms of government and economics have succeeded and why they have failed.  Socialism has become particularly popular among leftists because they can mislead people into believing that government will take care of them.  Where does government get it’s money from?  US!  Those of us who work and pay taxes.  You don’t have to be too smart to realize that government keeps “giving” in the form of entitlement programs which have become all the rage, we WILL go broke.  It’s not a question of when, it’s a question of how soon will this happen?

We are being told what we need and how quickly we need to get it done.  Why? – If you were drowning and I was the only person out to sea with you and I am on the boat, would you want me to throw you a shoe and tell you that you need to put it on now?  Don’t waste you precious moments telling me what you think you need.  I am telling you that you cannot afford to not put on that shoe right now!  Pardon the hyperbole and terrible analogy, but I don’t know how else to illustrate the terrible things that are being done to us in the name of benevolence and the betterment of soci(alism)ety.

We are taking property from some to give to others. - Perhaps the most dangerous of all is this issue.  We are endowed by our Creator with unalienable rights which include Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.  Can someone, anyone, please tell me how these are not being encroached upon or abridged with the introduction of the current administration’s Socialist ways?  Life – our lives are being fundamentally changed.  No one is saying that we don’t have the right to live, but the way we live our lives will be forever changed.  Liberty – if we are taking it from one to give to another, then liberty cannot exist for either.  Why?  Because we are taking away the liberty of those we are taking from by precluding them from earning to their full potential and thus removing the freedom to procure private property.  We are taking liberty away from the one being given to, because entitlements make that person more dependent on government, thus removing the liberty to do what one wishes.  They will need to get in line for their handouts just like everyone else.  Moreover, as we take from the “rich” to give to the “poor” or “level the playing field” those who were considered the poor will trend upward and there is always someone just a little lower than you are.  Who do you think the benevolent government machine will come after then?  This brings to mind one of my all time favorite quotes by Abraham Lincoln.  Said he…

“Property is the fruit of labor – property is desirable – it is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich, shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not he who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence…”

This may all seem a bit conspiratorial, but is it not worth discussion and subsequent action to the degree you feel this is real, and applicable in your life?  What is alternative?  Do we sit around and argue about who is marrying who?  Do we sit around extolling the current President and excoriate the former?  Do we waste our time arguing about which party is better?  About which ideology we subscribe to and why it is the better way to go?  The truth is, we argue because as proud patriots who are lucky enough to live in the greatest country in the world, we all want fundamentally, the same thing… I’ll let you fill in the blank.

What can we do?  Be diligent in your responsibility of protecting your property and your posterity.  Question what you are being imbued with… or should I say indoctrinated with.  Prepare yourself… read, talk, have discussions, listen, and again… QUESTION.  Call or write to your elected officials any chance you get.  It does make a difference.  Vote, but be sure to ask yourself what voting for this person will do for you.  Make it personal.  Vote because you think it will be the best thing for you and your family.  Not because it is the popular thing to do.  Conversely, don’t not vote for someone because you don’t think he/she is a viable candidate or because you think it will take votes from the only other viable option – Don’t be a sheep.  Teach children the importance of what they are living.  Teach them the history of this nation.  The real history.  Not the dates they teach them to memorize in school so that they can pass a test.  Tell the world that you are proud to be an American… enough of this “I was born in America, but I’m from….”.  Tell people about the principles that make this country great.  Be proud, not sorry.  Tell everyone you know about how we have been and continue to be at the forefront of so many relevant aspects of life and why that means that government should leave the American people alone to do what we do best.  Work, innovate, create, love, give, contribute… among many other great things.

WAKE UP and SPEAK OUT!!

God Bless Our Great Nation.

Bush Spent Too Much Money?!?!

27
Aug/09

I figured if I started it that way, I could get all the people who thought that the “idiot” Bush or the “retard” Bush messed up this country!  He spent so much money on two wars that we had no business getting into.

I would be remiss if I didn’t start off by saying that I was one of those who believed the aforementioned “misinformation”.  I excoriated President Bush along with all of the other liberals and/or progressives who believed that he had no business keeping this country safe.  That is not the point of my discussion today though.  I must however, point out that President Obama has not changed course in President Bush’s military policy.  We remain in Iraq and in Afghanistan.

All I keep hearing lately is, “we need to give him a chance to fix what that idiot did” or “he’s doing his best”… WHAT?!?!  Is that it?  Is that all you have to say about President Obama going on a spending spree, the likes of which we have not seen before in the history of this country or the world for that matter.  The angering effect of statements such as those are two fold.  First, no one had a problem with expressing dissent or worse, animosity, contempt, disdain, etc, for President Bush when he spent money to keep us safe, which is the primary responsibility of our “Commander in Chief”!  Secondly, during the first couple of months of the current administration, I began to notice a trend.  Every left-leaning individual and every liberal news organization were apt to decry all of President Bush’s actions and defend those of President Obama’s… in itself that is all well and good, but I noticed that it was being done without explanations or facts given to those of us being exposed to the diatribe or praise.

If I offer any kind of dissenting remark, it is met with “you’re a racist”, “you’re just not ready for a black president”, “you’re being unfair”, “Bush had eight years”, “you’re such a republican”, and best of all “you’re a communist!”  But I digress…  I am going to show you how a patriotic Libertarian, with respect for others’ opinions and the liberty (for now) to back up his arguments with FACTS and not deflect by accusing someone of racism for disagreeing with how monies are being appropriated in our current economic implosion, refutes a statement like “Bush spent too much money” and proves one like “What the hell is Obama thinking with all of this spending?!?!”

Let me start off by saying that this is information I have gathered from the NON-PARTISAN Congressional Budget Office.  You can review the actual and projected budget deficits for the next 10 years, here http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/105xx/doc10521/budgetprojections.pdf).  Does anyone feel like I’ve accused you of racism yet?  No?  Ok then, let’s begin.  I should state quickly that the budget deficit is the amount by which we are over spending… that is, the negative difference between the revenue of the country (in the form of taxes and such) and how much we are spending.  So, the projected budget deficit for 2009 (President Obama’s first full year in office) is $1.7 trillion dollars.  The deficit for 2008?  $640 billion… less than half.  Moreover, the 2008 budget deficit is exacerbated dramatically by the first stimulus package which was under Bush’s watch.  To put things into perspective for all you Bush haters, the amount we are OVER spending this year is more than twice the bank roll for the entire 7 year Iraq war!

If no one is feeling like I am calling them a mobster, a racist, or a Swastika yielding extremist yet, I’d like to continue instead with some actual facts (please take note Olbermann and Garafolo).

  • Our current national debt is $11.7 trillion dollars
  • Over the next ten years, we will be adding $9 trillion
  • Every trillion dollars we add to the accumulated deficit or DEBT, means an extra $50 billion IN INTEREST PER YEAR
  • I am throwing this one in hear as some more candy for you to digest.  This is not a quantifiable result based on the numbers put forth by the CBO, but based off the money we owe and I will find it somewhere darn it!… and the amount of debt we owe China, we are already paying them $800 MILLION dollars per week.  A few more trillion and we will be paying a billion dollars a week just IN INTEREST!

So if I may direct you to my friend Chino’s post (http://www.juniorychino.com/2009/07/27/how-much-money-do-you-make/) to put things in perspective of the impact that this profligate spending will have on your life and that of your posterity.

I challenge President Obama’s supporters to show us proof of how the administrations plans to spend our way to prosperity.

God Bless America-
Junior

VIVA Bill Clinton!!!

OK, this is going to sound crazy, but I wish Sean Hannity would shut the hell up about Bill Clinton and his rescue mission to North Korea!
To keep it short, it was the easiest and fastest way to get these girls home and Bill didnt even have to do it! It is still dangerous for him to go into hostile territory like N Korea and face their psycho leader!

We can only hope that Obama didnt give up too much to that psycho Kim Jong Il. 2 American lives are worth SOME concessions. Es mas, it shows the world our resolve to do whatever it takes for our citizens!
The funny part is that they have NO respect for our secretary of state Hillary Clinton, ”the primary school girl” as Kim calls her, and more respect for our FORMER president, than our current one!!!
-Chino

No matter what your opinion of our former commander if chief is… whether you agree or disagree with his previous transgressions or indiscretions, what he did by bringing those women home was great! Anytime we can bring home some our own, it’s a great thing! I’m sure it was all pre-planned and bargaining was complete by the time ol’ Bill arrived, but he didn’t have to go, as Chino already stated, and showed great poise and diplomacy. Where was Hillary is my only question? Well, I guess the Dear Leader would not have liked that idea.

Don’t Miss The Engine!

I saw something very interesting on the Glenn Beck program yesterday. He conducted a visual psychology test by putting up a picture of a military airplane with a large platoon lining up to enter it. They began toggling two frames of the same picture but with only one change to the picture, only they didn’t tell you what the change was and asked the audience to identify the change. I looked at that picture for a good 3 minutes and COULD NOT determine what the change was. Glenn then revealed the change and it was a HUGE ENGINE on the left wing, in plain site, that was there and then it wasn’t there… and then it was, and then it wasn’t. I could not believe what I had just witnessed.

The idea here is that we were not able to see the engine “there and then not there”, because of the density of the picture inasmuch as all that was going on in the picture. I admit, I was looking at the individual soldiers, the nose of the plane, I was even looking at the flag on the tail, to see if they were trying to trick us with that little detail! I looked at the vehicles loading baggage, getting ready to taxi, etc.

The point here friends, is that America is a picture, where too much is going on for us to see that the engine is being taken off our wing. This is the reason why our President and legislators want bills to be pushed through and ratified post haste. How many times have you heard President stipulate that we need to move boldly and SWIFTLY. Under the guise of a catastrophic recession, our fundamentals are being taken away. We are being told what we need. We are moving from the federal government down to the people instead of the other way around. I know that our Fathers believe in our Constitutional Republic which postulates that we are righteously represented by our elected leaders, but we must maintain our sovereignty as a people and as individuals, but doing what is necessary to let our leaders know what we want of them. We CANNOT sit around and let our leaders tell us what we need!

W Cleon Skousen wrote, in his book, “The 5,000 Year Leap”, the following:

“The Founders recognized that the people cannot delegate to their government any power except that which they have the lawful right to exercise themselves.”

See the engine and tell your government that we need it to fly our plane. Don’t let them tell you that they have a better alternative or that we need to take it off for our own good.

We have this great power and we are not using it! With great power comes great responsibility!
